Knights and Princesses

Nati had a Birthday celebration up at my parents on his actual Birthday but he is no fool and figured out that parties on our block were a lot of fun.  He asked if he could have one here too.  He has a little buddy that was having her 5th Birthday the same month so we teamed up to make a Knights and Princess party.  It was a lot of fun planning and preparing for the big day.  It was also great doing it with another Mom as we could spilt up the details.  She did a great job on the invites and we had the hosts go deliver them door to door.

I know these pictures don't show it but Nati was in heaven the whole time both delivering invites and at the party.  He has a new "stoic" smile that I think he thinks is his big boy smile.

The big day was beautiful and WINDY.  I had made some cool decorations but I don't have pictures as the wind made them flat and not so cool:).
We had a bow and arrow target game for the boys who then got knighted and given a blow up sword.

The girls and some of the boys did a pin the horn on the unicorn and got wands for their efforts.

We had a horse relay where the boys were supposed to attack the dragon Ben.  I acted it out for them first and got attacked in the way back.

Rainbow fruit kabobs were a big hit.

 Happy Happy Birthday Boy.
The king and queen of the day.
 Cake time.

Nati has been asking for a "peeata" for over a year.  He was not disappointed with his choice of Birthday game.
There is the smile we know and love.
Yared found candy and horses head.
 Our Princess
I made them coat of arms.

One of his presents was this costume so he changed form a Knight to the dark Knight:).
It was a fun day.  There was crazy wind, sprinklers that kept coming on in the middle of games, and maybe not enough food but it was fun.  This little boy of ours was beyond happy and told us thank you and how much he loved us all day long.  As for our little Princess friend she had a blast too and we have a great memory to share with her.
